I had never known of another type of bun for hot dogs other than the traditional side cut, until I moved to New England. This top cut bun actually makes perfect sense for Lobster Rolls and Hot dogs, you get a larger surface area for extra butter and toastiness!
Hehe....guess you don't know the difference when you grow up in New England!
